Coming Soon: Giving Tuesday
As we approach Giving Tuesday, less than four weeks away, it's a crucial reminder of our collective power to effect meaningful change in our communities. Charitable giving is one of humanity's superpowers. We are excited to bring awareness to this date and the blessing of our collective good.
Giving Tuesday, celebrated annually on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving in the United States, originated in 2012 as a response to the commercialization of the holiday season. Initiated by the 92nd Street Y and the United Nations Foundation, this global day of giving encourages people to support their favorite causes and community projects, promoting philanthropy and a spirit of generosity. Since its inception, Giving Tuesday has grown into a worldwide movement, inspiring millions to give back, volunteer, and contribute in meaningful ways, whether through monetary donations, in-kind gifts, or time.
As we approach this important day, we invite our community to consider how they can participate in the spirit of giving. Aligning with a cause that resonates with your heart can give you a profound sense of connection and belonging. This is the year for you, your family, and your organization to step into the momentum of making a meaningful impact. The intangible benefits of supporting those underserved are tremendous, fostering empathy, compassion, and a sense of community.
Founded in 2023, the Care Advocate Network was formed to support patients and their caregivers with medical appointments and questions and to provide community resources. You may deepen your connection with Care Advocate Network by experiencing firsthand the impact of your generosity on patients or their caregivers through volunteerism, following CAN's latest news and updates complete with blog entries or social media posts, or by financial contributions.
